image_15129.jpgWe’ve waited months to find out what is happening with the former HSBC and Barclay’s bank sites on Coleshill High Street. This week, I posted about the plans for a Costa Coffee and retail shop at the Barclays site.

Now an application has been submitted for the old HSBC building which would see yet another food and drink venue in the town. 

And then an application came in from Morrison’s to install a cash point and publicly accessible disabled toilet at their store on Birmingham Road.

I’d be really interested in hearing your views on the applications. I don’t sit on the Borough Council Planning Board so I won’t get a vote on this but I will get the opportunity to provide the views of the local community. 

The Town Council Planning Committee meets monthly to make comments on planning applications. These are then forwarded to the Borough Council who consider the comments when making a judgement on each application. This is the agenda for the Town Council Planning Committee meeting this Wednesday:
