Residents of Coleshill North should have noticed some improvements in the area recently.

New paths have been installed on Ennersdale Close down to Station Road, the grass has been cut back and edeged along Station Road and the weeds that have begun to grow at the side of our residential roads are in the process of being removed and the area sprayed with weed killer.

This follows on from earlier action that Cllr Dom Ferro and I have taken to clean up Roman Way by securing new bins from the Town Council. New bins have also been installed on Station Road and at the Community Centre Park.

The Community Centre field has also had a mini-makeover with new benches, trees, fencing and this week – the goalposts (taken out many years ago) are back and ready for use.

Over the coming weeks, we are hoping work will begin on the land opposite the Green Man to create a new footpath and seating area.

I’m really proud of what we’ve been able to achieve to improve our outdoor space in the town. With a first class Memorial Park, an improved croft, drastically improved cemetery (including a refurbished Garden of Remembrance), improvements at Green Lane and the fantastic Trajan Hill Spinney – we’re bringing our town back up to scratch, after years of neglect.

Cllr Dom Ferro and I are talking to the Town Council about improved the Community Centre Park over the coming months.
